Moroccan security forces reportedly beat and sexually harassed four Saharawi women in El Aaiun on March 23, 2013. The women were trying to join a demonstration in Smara Ave in El Aaiun, according to the Moroccan site lakome.com.

Reports stated that security forces dragged Mina Baali, Jaiduma Joumani, Leila Lily, and Sema Elmami by their hair and pulled down their pants while insulting them and touching intimate parts of their body in the street.
